Lots of Winter this Winter

We watched the Super Bowl and ate our junk food.  It was fine.  I enjoyed the company way more than the game, but as I said before, the game is never good.

Monica is moving to Wellington!  I was so excited to hear this news.  It will put them closer to both us, and Gerald's parents.  Also, she can come to our house to watch Amara if Natalie has to leave early.  It is not fun to wake an infant and shove them in a car seat.

This will be one paragraph and that's all.  We have ice.  It's dangerous to drive on the roads near home. I missed a day of work because of it.  It's miserably cold and my nose burns when I go outside.  BLECH!

On to more pleasant things: It's Saturday eve!  Not that I pine away for the weekend, since I like my job, but it's still nice to be lazy from time to time.  Kevin has some work to do on a car, so I'll try to pick up the slack at home.

OK, boring report is over.  Have an amazing weekend, everyone!

Planning for the Big Game

I was trying to decide what kind of indulgent foods to have on Super Bowl Sunday.  I asked Kevin for some insight, decided to invite the local offspring to join us, and then my Google-foo landed me upon this site.  Good Lord in heaven above.  If I wasn't hungry before, I am now.  So many yummy options.

I'm glad the game is earlier in the evening than it used to be, too.  Kevin often had to go to bed long before the game ended, but now should be able to watch the whole thing.  It's never a great game, anyway.  The commercials are fun, but not as good as in the past.  Plus, they get leaked early on social media, so I have to work at avoiding them.  Two days to go.

So we have commercials and junk food.  Sounds like a good time to me!  I'll spend the evening rooting against Tom Brady, since the Chiefs didn't make it.  Maybe next year I can root FOR someone instead.  For now, I leave you with this:
